Majestic Coastline of Western Australia

We have the most beautiful coastlines in Western Australia; and as my family love to explore we took the kids to Coral Bay and visited a number of beaches around the area.

Our trusty Toyota Prado takes us everywhere this car is AMAZING to travel in. We have travelled many many kilometres in this car from the rugged Kimberley region to amazing coastlines (that only can be accessed by 4WD). It has never let us down and what I love about the look of our car is you can tell it gets used for its purpose of 4WDing.

As you can see it goes for miles. The fish swim right next to you...you don't even need to get on the boat and travel away from the coastline to see the beautiful sea creatures.

Also keep an eye on this blog as I will bring to you Margaret River Wines on my Wine adventure and I will have my first competition, therefore some lucky person will get to Have a Taste of Margaret River. Even Oprah will be jealous as it is one place she did not get to see on her trip.

What a wonderful Christmas catching up with family. My hubby's mum makes the best Christmas pudding and Christmas cake.

Red Wine Jelly

This is divine!!! Red wine jelly. My sister in-law made this when we visited her in Melbourne.

I now make this every Christmas for a treat.

The recipe includes:
3 1/2 cups of red wine (I use the best wine from Margaret River)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 pack of pectin
4 1/2 cups of sugar

Put red wine, lemon juice and pectin in a large pan and bring to boil. Then add the sugar.

Prepare your jars and place them in a tray with boiling water. Put the jelly mixture in the jars and straight into the fridge.

Serving suggestions light biscuits with cream cheese and place jelly on top. And experience the sensational taste.

Another yummy festive treat.

Rum Balls

A favourite festive treat. I only remembered this recipe when my sister called for the ingredients.

1 can condensed milk 395g
1 pack of milk arrowroot
2 tsp of cocoa
optional dash of rum (real is the best)
and coconut for topping.

Crush biscuits. Add cocoa and condensed milk - best to use hands to mix in. Add the rum.

Make balls and roll in coconut.

A very simple and yummy festive treat.

Indiana Cottesloe Beach

One of my favourite restaurants is Indiana's at Cottesloe beach Western Australia. Very popular with locals and tourist, the weather is just beautiful at the moment.. sun shining perfect for enjoying the magnificent sunsets at the beach.

The whole decor in the restaurant I love!!! Once in the restaurant you feel like you are floating on the ocean....I think a few visits over summer time will be a must!
